Kleine Scheidegg is basically a railway town built halfway up the side of a mountain. Except that it's not a town or even a village. Everything revolves round the railway station where the WAB lines from Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald meet, and passengers transfer to the Jungfraubahn trains for the trip to the Jungfraujoch
Behind the station are the JB's carriage sheds and works and the WAB's turning 'Y' built into the mountainside giving a distinctly industrial feel to the area.
Apart from that, there are a couple of hotels that only operate in the winter, several eating places (including the famous tepee) and the hawk flying demonstrations.
Don't miss the huskies a short train ride away up at Eigergletscher where you also get a fine view of the tail end of the Eiger Glacier, the only one in the area that is easily seen. From here it is a pleasant short walk back down to Kleine Scheidegg.
