This year saw the 25th Annual Medieval Pageant in the tiny village of Templecombe in Somerset. It has actually been running for 27 years but there were no pageants in 2020 and 2021 for obvious reasons.
Throughout the day, there were re-enactments of medieval fighting and a falconry display building up to the main event, the Battle of Templecombe.
For this, I had cunningly chosen a spot along the arena fence where, if I sat down my view was obscured by a poster, and if I stood up my head became entangled in the branches of a small tree. Still I managed to get a couple of shots that weren't too bad.
