Jinja is Ugandaʼs second largest town (if you include Njeru on the opposite bank of the Nile) and is currently a popular tourist destination.
Apart from the so-called Source of the Nile, until 2011 Jinja also boasted the grade five rapids at Bujagali Falls.
The town itself is nothing special, but has a nice relaxed atmosphere, and a good selection of craft shops.
