Strangely peaceful, considering that there is plenty for the kids to see and do. Perhaps it's Lord Bath's strange taste in statues, or just the beauty of the house and its setting, but there seems to be a very relaxing atmosphere to the place.
The queues for the boat trip on the lake, can be quite daunting, but well worth the wait. Not only do you get to see the gorillas, who live in a house on an island complete with television (East Enders is their favourite, apparently), but it also one of the few places where you see sealions swimming at top speed.
