Just looking at your website in answer to Maggie Taylors question about Smack Alley I think it might be New Street as my Mother used to say it was called also Blood and guts Street as it was a poor area of the town coming off of the railway station and the men used to come out of the pub fighting

i went to burley , new forest on holiday and it was quite scary! everything was full of witchcraft, including the tearoom. While i was in the souvineer shop, my dad was waiting outside with my dog, then he popped up in the window while i was looking at witches! heehee
