New this month a much expanded article on the Needles Old and New Batteries including the High Down Rocket Test Site.

Nothing new for this month I'm afraid.

A real castle and a couple that aren't to start this month off:

• First the real one Caerphilly Castle in South Wales.
• Secondly Cowdray Castle and the nearby St Ann's Castle both of which are pushing the definition.

Two short articles this month:

• The Inogon Leading Mark near Hamble-le-Rice, Hampshire and
• St Nicholas' Church, West Itchenor in West Sussex.

Also some photos from last year's Isle of Wight Classic Busses, Beer & Walks Festival.

Sorry. Got tied up in sorting out the last of the negatives, so nothing new this month.

New this month, an article on Farnham Castle in Surrey.

In light of GDPR, I should perhaps point out that the irregular newsletters I used to send out have been defunct for some time now. The mailing list and all related data has been deleted.

And I'm back.

Apologies for the lack of up dates recently. I've been head down in the scans of my old negatives and turning them into photo-books.

Now I've time to finish going through what's left from last year, and to get out and take some more photos.

First up this month, the Rural Life Centre near Farnham in Surrey.

So far this month I've finished writting up the places in Ceredigion, Wales I visited earlier this year:

• Strata Florida Abbey,
• A great collection of diesel engines, Internal Fire Museum of Power,
• The pretty village of Aberaeron and
• A gazetteer entry for the New Quay Toll Boards.

Only one new article this month, but it's a long one on the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate in Ceredigion, Wales.

Four short gazetteer entries to kick this month off:

• The rotting hulk of the PS Ryde on the Isle of Wight,
• The Greyladyes Masoleum in Bursledon, Hampshire.
• Llandovery Castle in Cardiganshire and
• The Rydym ni yma o hyd Sculptures in deepest Ceredigion.

Followed by three places in Ceridigion, Wales:

• Aberystwyth its Castle and Cliff Railway,
• Devil's Bridge and its waterfalls, and connecting the two
• The Vale of Rheildol Railway.

New this month:

• Stansted Park on the borders of West Sussex and Hampshire,
• Boxgrove Priory also in Sussex and
• Dolaucothi Gold Mines in Carmarthenshire, West Wales.
