News

Finally got around to finishing off the photos from a trip to Stourhead and the surrounding area. There are articles on:

• Nunney Castle and village,
• along with Bruton in Somerset,
• and the delightful town of Mere in Wiltshire
• Along with pages for Stourhead House and
• A gazetteer covering King Alfred's Tower, St Peter's Pump and various other places around the estate.

Spent the first half of the month in the, very beautiful, Isles of Scilly. Took thousands of photos, but it will be a while before I get to them, as I have only just started on the May photos.

Still a bit of tweaking needed, but the bulk of the HTML5/CSS3 work is now done. Just got to make the site more mobile friendly now.

I've also been playing around with the new version of the Google Maps API and with marker clustering. Google Street View is accessible from most of the maps now.

New this month are an article on Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, and an updated one on the lovely little Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

Still plodding away trying to make the site compatible with HTML5 and CSS3

New this month are:

• Whitstable in Kent,
• A gazetteer entry for Conquest House in Canterbury and
• Some new photos and the outline of a walk around the Black Rocks in Derbyshire.

Not a lot new this month, as I have been doing a bit of spring cleaning and have been tidying up the code.

So far there are articles on:

• The Eastbridge Hospital and
• St Martin's Church in Canterbury

Together with some additional gazetteer entries on the Canterbury page.

There are also some photos of the pretty village of Smarden and some of Whitstable are in the pipeline.

New this month are: a gazetteer for Dublin, together with an articles on Kilmainham Gaol and Dublin Castle.

Spent a couple of weeks up in Yorkshire based in Whitby last month, so have been working my way through the photos.
